I’ll post these daily updates for a couple more days, but I can already see that the Monero payment target is going to stay 🚀
quotingDay 10 update with a Monero payment target on my profile to compare zaps and xaps. A couple of observations at the end of this post.

It’s interesting watching the disparity between the totals grow as each day goes by. Zap frequency is higher, but the total and average amounts for Monero xaps are just blowing bitcoin zaps out of the water so far.
Even more “interesting”, you could say, has been watching the negative reactions from a handful of people on here. They’ve gotten a few reactions back out of me over the last couple days, but moving forward I’m going to refocus my attention and energy. I’m not going to waste my time trying to manage their jealousy. Instead I intend to focus my energy on the people who are actually here to see Nostr become a better place for content and for creators. My gratitude goes out to each person who engages with and zaps/xaps the content you enjoy and the people you want to show support for. You are helping Nostr become a home for creators who want to express themselves free from the control of centralized ad-supported platforms.
