Since Tony Blair opened our doors to the world Britain has been on the downslope. Initially the crisis was batted away. Migrants mainly smuggling themselves into the UK in the back of cargo lorries was considered a mild inconvenience. Not any longer. Last year 41,472 pitched up here on dinghies - 34,201 of them men - and most went on to claim asylum. And remember, these are the ones known to the authorities. The true number here - and goodness only knows where - is anyone's guess.

We have seen panic in Epping, Thetford, Crowborough, Piddington, and a hundred other places aside, riots in Northern Ireland, and still the Government shrugs its shoulders as a liberal elite typified by bleeding hearts like Jolyon Maugham and his ilk who regularly cry foul and label genuine concern as to who comes here as the wolf whistle of the Right. But now we know the worries that started to gather pace 20 or so years ago were with reason. In a sign of just how far Britain has been run into the ground asylum seekers - those who have entered the UK illegally - have been told by our actual government not to rape, beat, or attempt to subjugate our women. A Home Office guidebook lays bare the "rules and expectations" of living in Britain. And everyone who pitches up will be handed one, along with gold-plated taxpayer support.

The publication of the document - at vast expense to taxpayers - will deepen anger not least because the public has been repeatedly told men coming here illegally pose no imminent danger to British women and girls. This categorically proves otherwise.
