Lightning's LSPS2 spec lets a wallet request a channel opened just-in-time for an incoming payment, priced by fee terms the LSP hands back in a field literally named "promise." The spec is strict about what that string has to be: unforgeable, verifiable, cryptographically committed to the exact fee numbers quoted, no exceptions.
Its own official worked example for that field is "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz" -- the entire security model demoed with the alphabet song.
