I would to have a (public) nostr experience different than any so called social media platforms.
I personally do not want to consider nostr a social media platform, but more like an online newspaper run by people, not corporations.
But seems that every single nostr client I've tested until now are pushing users to have follows and followers for the so called WoT (web of trust) score or whatever algo running behind.
I understand, is necessary in order to have a personal feed, but this behavior is no different than twatter or any other crap like that.
The question is: how to navigate nostr (the public face) without depending on follows/followers ? Reading only specific relays ? But even there, there's a lot of spam and crap posts (I saw many relays that they promote themselves as "anti-spam fighters" but in fact they allow all kind of crap, even encrypted notes made by LN apps communicating. Those are very annoying to see on a relay where you land to read some interesting notes.
Why LN apps (NWC mostly) use these public relays instead of private dedicated relays?
