Christianity is incompatible with systems that abolish private property, deny personal responsibility, or make the state the substitute for voluntary love and religious community AKA socialism as used in the common parlance.
Many of the espoused values are the similar; but, forcing others to support the poor through the threat of violence isn't a Christian value.
In addition, 10% is the expected tithe; socialism, even at the lowest level, regularly sees over 40% and into 50% total taxation burden.
