i remember thinking that about geometry.... years later in yoga class i finally found a use case!

but seriously, I would have been more interested in many subjects if i understood practical applications.

when i learned accounting in high school i found it very interesting because we learned how to apply it to running a business - the debits and credits had real life context. i went on to college to get a degree in accounting and watched students flunk out/ drop out of AC 101 ... same course, no context.
