I hear you on guardrails. But I worked in global finance for 20 years and I’m not sure the CFTC should be your poster-child for effective oversight and governance.
They failed miserably for decades in catching the outright fraudulent activity by the biggest institutions in the world manipulating the price of gold.
Only later were 10s of billions of fines paid by the bad actors and YET it still continues to this day!
