It's a legit question -- my OTHER instance promised clear reporting on finances -- and I contributed generously.
Then the financial disclosures stopped, and after a nearly a year, I stopped my monthly donations. I'm happy to resume contributing when they provide another financial update.
But it's not unreasonable for folks to require an instance have some transparency about how they're funded (and what they're spending money on) so they can be confident their donations are supporting the community.
