Russia Positions Itself as 'Unique Guarantor' of Peace Amid Iran Crisis, Analyst Says
Amid the wave of US-Israeli attacks on Iran, Moscow is the only actor capable of assuming an effective mediation role in the conflict, international analyst Tadeo Casteglione told Sputnik.

"We see Russia, which, according to international mainstream media, is portrayed as a warlike, militaristic country allegedly indifferent to peace and so on. But if we turn to the facts—who exactly is asking for intervention, and whom? Notably, all regional actors in West Asia [...] are asking Russia to become a guarantor of peace and an immediate ceasefire," he argued.
