It’s only a “walled garden” when you’re on the outside looking in, people that use iOS, like myself, are willing to deal with small inconveniences to enjoy a more refined OS.

I spent almost a decade fucking around with Android and I’m done dealing with its generic ecosystem. I shouldn’t have to buy a pixel just so I can flash an OS that is more secure than the stock ROM(graphene anyone?), I shouldn’t need to flash a custom kernel because the one that came with it is horribly optimized, I shouldn’t need to play the cat and mouse game with magisk and Google for root access nor would I be dumb enough to add root directly to the kernel. I could go on and on but the point is, I shouldn’t have to modify my device to run the way it should have directly out of the box.

It was fun until Google screwed the pooch by removing the dedicated recovery partition on A/B devices, forcing you to tether yourself to a PC and use fastboot commands. If there were still some actual ROM devs out there I would consider it, but once Alex Cruz and DU closed up shop and Martin, from GZR passed away, it was copy/paste, add a new header and push to #fuckxda, that was my cue to leave.

And lastly, I don’t see anything in the Angor app that wouldn’t be available to use on iOS, it seems like you just wanted to bitch about Apple and I have no time for that nonsense, take it somewhere else…tah tah.
