When one says “those people” they are guilty of prejudice right there. Whether it’s racial or not I suppose is in the eye of the beholder.
But, that phrase has often been used to attack minorities, and is here utilized against a city whose largest demographic group is black.
I am not the one who labeled all people in an entire city as being too cool for school. I didn’t label a city where over 40,000 kids need a free lunch at school every day as being too uppity to show up for even a free lunch.
I am calling out this poster for engaging in prejudice about 700,000 DC residents.
Do we even WANT solidarity with such a person?
If they really want solidarity with us “too cool” people in DC maybe they could elect members of Congress who support our statehood.
