That’s actually the part I enjoyed most. I know the pool doesn’t magically improve the expected return, and economically this whole experiment may not make much sense. But seeing the shares come in, watching the pool work, and then actually seeing a block land made the whole process much more real to me. For me this was probably worth more as a learning experience than as a mining investment. And yes, building the thing that let me actually see it happen was half the fun.
