#bitcoin is one large shitshow right now.nostr:nevent1qqsqqqyusczp7s3ed7kchucg5twgqeg3xcpuawj6g4ydv06c7jjuvhqnpy4ar
Its extremely discouraging that I would NOT be comfortable advising a company to implement a bitcoin strategy (be it savings or accepting payments) right now.
Bottom line (and it hurts to say this), the bitcoin eco-system is just not secure right now.
Meaning basically the only thing you could reliably do right now is self-custody.
How would you advise a brick and mortar shop to accept btc right now and why?
It used to be the downside was speculative/volatility.
Now, its just plain insecurity in the software you would use to interact with it, and that kills the whole use case for mass adoption.

I agree BUT … Bitcoin’s in the awkward pubescent teen boy phase: withdrawn, cranky, greasy hair and smells, as does his room, suffering from more freedom than he’s ready for. Having to identify which associations are good for him and make choices in his best interest rather than taking the path of least resistance to those who welcome all comers and go nowhere. Good parents know to keep a watchful eye from a distance, running interference only when really need and give him time. Eventually the smell goes away.
