It isn't important because everyone else is using it but rather because corporations and governments wanting to break into people's devices are heavily using it. It is our job to defend against them. People do not seem to realize how easy it's getting for attackers to the point you can go grab exploits on GitHub and take over non-GrapheneOS Android devices. It can get that way for us too if we don't stay on top of things despite how they're degrading.
