I was thinking about how annoying it is that if you like read an author's books in order you notice how they get better at writing novels.

"annoying" because it means to write a really good book you probably need to write at least two or three that are merely "fine" or "good"

But, then I remembered King, who I think wrote some near perfect horror novels... but then basically after The Stand... IDK. It's just not for me I guess.

Curious if this is typical.
