(I appreciate that argument could be turned on its head: the seismic shift could be that just as the SDP arguably kept Labour out of power for a generation then Reform will keep the Tories out of power for a generation. Which is no bad thing.)
The real question isn't "Will the Greens split the progressive vote?" it's: "How much of the progressive vote will stay at home because it feels it's a lost cause?"
