And you should absolutely take advantage of the merchants because they are the ones who choose to price their items in fiat and therefore end up with less #Monero than they otherwise would have.

It will not achieve and maintain that average for a minimum of at least a year and possibly as long as two. So you could pay for many months of a Monero bill like phone service and then Fiat cost average what you would pay back into Monero over time and likely end up with more Monero than you otherwise would have.
