Fire alarm is fine electrical work if you know what you're doing, but I do not. And yet, I am the only one on this crew who knows anything at all.
Spent an hour trying to work out how to wire this one component (in-unit horn silence button), only to find out from the technician that half the wires we pulled to it won't even be used.
We pulled them exactly as his company's riser specified. "Yeah we weren't really sure what kind of silencer you'd be using, so we went worst case scenario."
Bro, that's literal kilometers of 14-gauge copper throughout this building, all for nothing, none of it recoverable. In this fucking economy?!
