I recently switched to zero drop barefoots. Was s bit more expensive than what i was used to but after about 3 months now it is doing miracles for my lower legs. Most of the issues i ever had with my right foot have already faded. Left foot is lagging a but behind but i have good hopes. Toe splay is still a work in progress.

I will buy a second pair soon which i'll pick for longer hikes that are a bit higher and specifically more water and dirt resistant. And then a third pair around the time winter will kick in. I have been in the gym with no shoes (actual bare feet) and this has also been working pretty well but it will be too cold in the winter (no heating or any form of climate control).

I don't yet know how long they will last but i walk quite a bit and always had to change my shoes after about a year because i usually clock some 2500-3000KM on them and by that time soles and also the heels would be totally done. On the shoes i used to buy this was not repairable, dunno about the barefoots. Definitely something i should find out.
