LisPi (nprofile…k3ke) kumicota (nprofile…arr8) Looking at the official stats;
- Gamecube sold ~21.74 million.
- Wii U sold ~13.56 million.
- PSP (+PSP GO) sold ~76.4 million.
- Dreamcast sold ~9.13 million.
- Saturn sold ~9.26 million.
Looking at other cattle devices;
- All model DS sold ~154 million.
- Wii sold ~101.63 million.
- Switch sold ~156.59 million so far.
- All model PS2 sold ~160 million.
- All model PS3 sold ~87.4 million.
- All model PS4 sold ~117 million.
- All model PS5 sold ~95 million so far (you would think it had "exclusive" slop, but there are like 3 slop titles?).
The gamecube did sell well - it just didn't sell in unreasonable quantities.
Quantities of 100 million+ PCB's of e-waste (by design due to digital handcuffs) is absolutely insane if you try to picture how big a mountain that would make.
