so if I compare Catcher to they synopsis of Less than Zero though, Caulfield is a dropout from the wealthy world due to its inauthentic bullshit nature, while Less than Zero sounds more like a warning to young men to avoid the path of depravity and stay in school and conform because the alternative is self immolation. Caulfield is kind of a proto-punk while Clay is like some kind of visitor into an underworld of drugs and prostitution.
