I’ll agree taxes (on everyone) are far too high. The state - in the US case, via entitlements, military, and debt - is far too large. Needs about a 40% haircut.
But we saw how DOGE worked out, so don’t hold your breath.
Broken money is something that should be a given on Nostr.
I don’t agree with a wealth tax, because we don’t have a revenue problem AND because as California is learning, people can move.
Biggest issue I have is the idea that democracy would fix anything, or is even an ideal.
