that would result from those down the road failures that are so much more likely when vetting is not prioritized. As individuals in a market (regulators), our responsibility is to incentive wise posture. Standing by those who reject short term profits and personal benefit in favor of responsibility and long term safe stewardship. Those who fail to do so, irrespective of intent, should by accountable. If the market instead softens the consequences of failure, it fails to regulate.
