probably a bit off-topic seeing the two options you are considering, but have CoMaps contributors thought of joining OSGeo (npub1e2r…960f) ? Or would such a routing app be out of scope for OSGeo?
To me it would make sense. Apps like CoMaps and OsmAnd present spatial data but also generate and analyse it to some extent (via OSM contributions, recording of POIs and visualisation + analysis of GPS traces.
