Coming from macos it's probably not anything special... Apart from the tiling desktop stuff.
I was already on Arch with gnome. I tried tiling plugins and then I even tried to follow a tutorial on setting up Hyprland and just gave up out of frustration.
I still have my old setup on a separate partition, but I've migrated everything over, continued projects, filed some taxes last week and didn't have to jump back to the old installation once. That's mad to me. Connected headphones, casted to TV, taken screenshots...
It works better than gnome IMO. I mean, I guess it's closer to a Linux distro like Ubuntu than what I had before: arch with gnome and everything installed by me. But theming works better, I set up some gestures like three finger swipe across workspaces too.
My laptop would often crash after memory pressure... Probably because I don't know how to set up swap memory properly, but here I have no issues.
I think the ctrl+k shortcut was the absolute key to this whole thing. I would have never learned the key commands without a tutorial mode there the whole time.
