I'm in the camp of Austrian boomers who believe that things related human action cannot be 'scientifically' predicted using historical patterns, stats or equations.
One can and has to make 'entrepreneurial' predictions and adjust their positions regarding how other people will act in order meet their various ends, but it cannot be considered scientific. For a proposition to be 'scientific', it has to aim at universal truth and certainty irrespective of time and place.
