📖 Cyclotomic Equation

The equation $x^n = 1$, or equivalently $x^n - 1 = 0$, is called the cyclotomic equation. Its solutions are the $n$th roots of unity. The name comes from the Greek words for "circle" and "division," because the roots divide a circle into $n$ equal parts.
