This is a consistent pattern in Bitcoiners: do something in your self interest and broadcast a grandiose, virtue signally reason why it was absolutely necessary that you rip someone off.

It's why I go so hard on the Ten31 Shills, the "Red Team" attention whores and the NVKlown antics.

Everyone looks at the world through a lens of self interest. There's nothing wrong with that. But bitcoiners need to see it for what it is and show contempt for the obvious hypocrisies. Fuck hero worship. Kill your hero.

The negation over funds was not about "fair market price" - the whitehat was testing them. He had returned 85%, showing honesty but seriousness, and Blockstream offers only $1.5m.

This revelation of greed instead of gratitude is going to be leveraged by the whitehat to justify his theft in his own mind, viewing it as justified against an evil corp and a statement against the poor treatment of vulnerability researchers.
