They want to be able to hold on to their influence whichever way the winds of fate may blow. Being an influencer must be a lot like being a politician. You must try, with Bitcoiners as an audience, to appear radical and principled and uncompromising while actually being accommodating and flexible and helpful to the right people. It's a hard life.
