If you were previously using my nostella relay and still have one running update it as soon as possible.
The old version the AI made some design choices I never asked for that would cause immense strain on both the network and your own SSD.
This release took me a bit to get right, and do keep a close eye on it in case I didn't catch everything. But it should now perform great.
Instead of a 3 hops limit like 0.2 it has anti looping to ensure things spread far and wide, but to prevent a mesh of nostella relay's ddosing popular nostr relays it now no longer queries a nostr relay another mesh peer already queried for that request.
Compared to the previous releases this has extremely important performance and anti-looping fixes that prevent flooding both third party relays and your own SSD. Upgrade as soon as possible especially if you were previously using the main branch.
In addition this has an algorithm overhaul that properly awards popular third party relays if they are a users preferred relay, this will help keep us pegged to the useful parts of nostr instead of drifting off to random relays.
