yea you got me, imo custodial lightning is already a shitcoin - it is basically paypal. cashu is like paypal vouchers then ;)
afaik there is also no peg to bitcoin in a mint, in general a mint can issue as much as they want - same with a custodial lightning wallet provider - they can display whatever they want in your wallet.
