The Supreme Court can do one of three things at this point:
* Stay the injunctions, allowing the new rules to take immediate effect for the midterms
* Refuse to stay the injunctions, leaving things as they are until the cases are decided later (after the mideterms)
* Do nothing, which has the same legal effect as refusing to stay the injunctions but leaves everyone hanging, confused, and annoyed.
