in terms of size/weight per watt hour, the LFP batteries lose out to Li-Ion. But as you’ve noted they last longer. It’s -my opinion- still the better of the two chemistries given longevity, cost, and stability. They are also way less dangerous. The one HUGE drawback is charging while below freezing can cause damage. Faster you charge the higher chance of damage/failure.
