If EU is buying American debt and Trump demands the EU to increase military spending, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that EU will redirect the money from US Debt to Military and US will have to increase the interest on the Debt in order to attracts new buyers.
But when China starts to dump US Debt that we will have 2 sellers of Debt and no buyers.
