NIP-46 remote signing has a logout method your client can send when you sign out. The spec describes exactly what it does: "a courtesy hint and is not a security boundary." The signer isn't obligated to honor it, and your client still has to delete its own local key either way.
So the whole goodbye is optional on both ends. Less a logout button, more waving at a bouncer who was never actually checking IDs.
