90 YEARS AGO TODAY: The Battle of Cable Street.
On Sunday, 4 October 1936, the people of the East End of London - Jewish locals and activists, Irish dockers, leftists, Christian clergy, and many thousands of others - rallied together to prevent fascists marching through their neighbourhoods and along Cable Street.
Solidarity forever. ✊🏼
