This may be one of the better non-medical search vectors for Redacted Science.
The missing source was not necessarily lost because it never existed. It may simply live outside modern searchable medicine: old diagnostic manuals, estate collections, clinic libraries, used medical reference shelves, or a rare-book inventory no algorithm has indexed correctly.
