Hey! I can only concur with what was already stated by others: Rewriting faircamp in another language would be a massive undertaking.

To put it in numbers: To fund this work, one would need to raise a medium to high five figure amount ($/€), with the only selling point being "You get the same thing, written in another programming language", which is not a great premise for raising funds in general.

But even assuming anyone would be willing and able to pull this off, the end result would very likely be a severly worse reincarnation: Going by the issue tracker and all the reports I (don't) get, Faircamp 1.7 is incredibly stable software, and this is in large part simply due to Rust being an incredibly safe and robust foundation to begin with.

So the question is: Is making that massive effort to likely end up with something worse really a good deal, or are there maybe better ways to mount resistance? I think there are! :)
