I wrote a paper in 2015 on nicotine not being addictive, demonstrating by titrating myself up to intolerable levels of nicotine and stopping for a week between each titration.
Since then I’ve smoked as many as three cigarettes a day, but by no means a “heavy smoker”. I can’t imagine smoking a pack a day.
Point is, boomers aren’t addicted to cigarettes or nicotine, they’re just addicted so sucking.
