About:
Bitcoin Dua is a grassroots Bitcoin circular economy in Agbozume, Ghana. Inspired by El Salvadorโs Bitcoin Beach and connected with projects such as Bitcoin Ekasi, it treats Bitcoin as everyday money rather than a trading asset.
The work is built on education first. A renovated learning center now hosts Bitcoin classes, coding, robotics, and digital literacy for local youth, including programs like Bitcoin for Juniors.
Students, teachers, and residents learn how money works, then earn and spend sats with nearby shops. The team has onboarded around 30 local merchants, turning Bitcoin into a familiar word in the town.
Key Objectives:
1. Teach Bitcoin and financial literacy on the ground through the Education Center, school visits, workshops, and youth programs.
2. Grow a working circular economy where people in Agbozume learn, earn, and spend sats with local merchants.
3. Train young people in coding, robotics, and digital skills so they can earn in Bitcoin without leaving the community.
4. Onboard more businesses and make everyday payments in sats practical and trusted.
5. Build lasting community infrastructure, as a hub for youth, recreation, education, and circular-economy use.
