I keep having this cycle play out where the YouTube algo suggests someone's really creative cover of some classic video game music, and I listen for a while, and it sounds a little *too* well produced... so I check the channel that posted the video, and almost universally that channel will have a huge burst of "creative" AI-generated "output" that's less than six months old and checks all sorts of nostalgia catnip boxes.
