It’s a fucked up world we live in. I think we can all agree there. But let’s just for the sake of it, game out the most optimistic version of what’s coming for software.
We are talking about a world where we can “just” vibe code up a functional clone of whatever software for whatever platform. What’s the upshot? Proprietary software is *dead* in that world. D E A D dead. That at least is kind of nice. In a world where a few hundred dollars in token spend buys you a functional clone of Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat, the economics of software have fundamentally changed.
