My opinion on the spoiler effect, and on all electoral methods reform, is that they don't matter. For instance in the US you'll often have people go on about the two-party system: Israel has lots of parties and is committing genocide. Australia has all sorts of gee-whiz improvements and does the same fossil fuel, racism, and border atrocities as every other democratic state.
