That makes sense to me! I feel that sometimes things seem “trendy” not because they are arbitrary but because they are important and trending for a reason. The word neurodivergent simply means your brain development differs from what science and society has historically considered typical or average. Autism + ADHD are 2 large groups of people that often overlap that are included in this. You definitely do not have to label yourself anything though. however I have found that when I recognize what labels mean & if they properly apply to me, I have an easier time identifying things I need & understanding more medically/mentally as well as finding others that I seem connect with better! Which is helpful for me, but others maybe prefer to not to. Also, I think it’s absolutely normal to recognize there’s a “name” to an experience without adopting that name into an identifier. Completely makes sense to me!
