🚨 🇺🇸 Have You Seen This Guy?
The FBI is searching for former California firefighter Charles Johnathen Harris, 46, who may have staged his drowning to avoid prosecution.
Harris is wanted for failing to appear in federal court after being charged with possessing child sexual abuse material.
â €
He reportedly drowned during a boating accident in Suisun Bay on April 4, 2023, but his body was never recovered.
The FBI says the circumstances require further scrutiny, including the possibility that his death was staged.
â €
Harris was indicted in March 2023 after investigators allegedly found CSAM on his iPhone.
Prosecutors said he uploaded material through Kik, including while at Alameda County fire stations.
â €
He surrendered to authorities and was released on bond but failed to attend an April 19 court appearance. A federal arrest warrant was issued two days later.
Anyone with information about Harris or his whereabouts should contact the FBI or submit a tip at tips.fbi.gov.
