If I were the Iranian leadership I'd be demanding that the United States also give up it's nukes, if it's demanding that Iran do so. Reciprocity. How is it fair for the demand to only be one-sided? The US is arguably more dangerous with nuclear weapons given how many they have and the fact that they're the only country to have ever used them, twice. Giving up your nukes is like giving up your right to bear arms, on a national scale. Look at what happened to Libya when they gave up their weapons program.
