Coming from the hood in Brooklyn, NYC, you’re introduced to a different reality early. Murder, robbery, scams, gangs, drugs, trafficking, the list goes on.
Before you fully understand the world, you’re already learning how to survive in it. You learn how to read people, read situations, recognize danger, and understand that one bad decision can change your whole life.
The hood teaches lessons most people never have to learn. The problem is, survival can become so normal that you don’t realize how much of what you learned was built around surviving instead of actually living.
