I'm getting desperate. I just ordered three Banana Pi Zero 2W boards for a total of $200.
There are three things that I want to try:
1. direct replacement for the pi Zero 2
2. Try the model with 4GB RAM using the latest version of OpenHAB
3. Same as #2, but with the 2GB RAM model
The GPIO pins are different, but it looks like the power rails, ground, and i²c pins all match up. It will also require setting up a different SD card image. But with enough software mods, it might work... 🤞
And for the record, yes, this **is** me blowing all the money I earned on this project this year on the R&D budget. Concordantly, I hope it pans out and I strike gold.
