I make good arguments against connecting to hundreds of random servers every time I scroll and destroying my feeds. You cannot hand-wave that away. I think _some_ people would like to know why they have to tolerate garbage and spam to see one the possibility of a reply.
The thing is, i can live without seeing one persons reply because they use some obscure self hosted outbox relay if it means I retain my privacy. One bad actor out of hundreds can profile people and leak the location information. Or on the security side, communicate in a way that a vulnerable client is latent to.
You made the tradeoff decision for people.
