To everyone using Tyr it seems that the owner JB-SelfCompany changed the code completely since 1.8.1 every update after that up to 1.9.0 broke connections with people who did not update. Then it seems every update past 1.8.1 up to 1.9.0 has been removed the issue now is if you've been using the backup feature it won't work.
You won't be able to restore a backup from 1.9.0 on to 1.8.1 so you've essentially lost your self hosted account unless you've kept any 1.8.1 backups. Way to get fucked but I shoulda followed the oldest lesson in the book. If it works DO NOT UPDATE why try to fix what works as is?
So i'm losing my self hosted tyr account a third time & am having to start over again with our nostr group full of apps.
